Job description

Job Description

Sysco are currently recruiting for a Europe ERP Senior Change Communications Manager to join the team for a 2-year Fixed Term Contract, reporting to the Director of Communications Europe.

This is a home based role, and occasional travel will be required for collaboration and team meetings.

As the Senior Change Communications Manager, you will design and implement a structured communications strategy aligned with the ADKAR framework (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement) to address the people side of change. Your work will be critical in enabling successful stakeholder engagement, managing resistance, and embedding lasting behavioural change across a multi-year, multi-country programme.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Change Communications Manager to lead the communications strategy for a major ERP-led business transformation programme across a multinational organisation. Central to this role will be leveraging the ADKAR change and communications model to guide and support employees and stakeholders through the transformation journey, ensuring awareness, understanding, and sustained adoption of the new ERP system.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  1. Communications Strategy Development: Develop and execute a communications strategy built around the ADKAR model, ensuring each stage of the transformation is effectively supported by targeted communications. Tailor messaging to address the diverse needs of stakeholders, from creating awareness of the programme's objectives to reinforcing the benefits of sustained change.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the programme leadership team, ensuring communications align with ADKAR principles to build stakeholder desire, knowledge, and ability. Develop segmented communication plans to reach different audiences, including employees, leadership, external partners, and local teams across the organisation. Collaborate closely with Change Management, HR, and IT teams to align messaging and ensure communications drive the desired outcomes.
  3. Content Creation and Delivery: Oversee the development of impactful communications, including briefings, newsletters, FAQs, and multimedia content, designed to address ADKAR objectives. Maintain consistency in tone and message across channels while adapting content to cultural and regional nuances.
  4. Performance Measurement: Define and track metrics aligned with the ADKAR stages, measuring awareness, desire, knowledge transfer, skill-building, and reinforcement. Use feedback and data insights to continuously refine and optimise communication strategies.

About you: To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in leading communications for large scale, multinational change initiatives, with demonstrated success applying the ADKAR model or similar frameworks. You will have exceptional writing and presentation skills, with an emphasis on delivering clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate messaging coupled with strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in navigating complex, matrixed organisations. You will also have a proven ability to align communication strategies with change management methodologies to achieve measurable results. It’s highly advantageous that the successful candidate has familiarity with ERP systems and their impact on organisational transformation.
