Job summary

Kier Group in Suffolk is recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function for the Sizewell C Major Civils Framework. You’ll provide contract expertise, governance and robust commercial controls across current and future task orders.

Responsibilities include leading the commercial team, administering NEC contract requirements, cost forecasting and cashflow management, plus high‑level reporting to protect Kier’s position while working with clients and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable commercial management experience in complex civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly target cost arrangements and compensation events.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen including cost reporting, forecasting and value recognition.
• Excellent communicator with ability to engage with project teams, client representatives and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the commercial team for the Sizewell C framework.
• Administering NEC contract requirements, notices, compensation events and records.
• Establishing robust commercial controls including cost capture, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Managing subcontract procurement and financial administration with appropriate contract strategy.
• Providing clear commercial performance reporting and protecting Kier's position while collaborating with stakeholders.
