You will be part of the Digital Twin Advisory Group, a competence centre established to support all Haskoning business units with their projects and client’s Digital Twin needs. The team provides both Digital Twin consultancy and Digital Twin solutions implementation.
The Role:
If you are a pro-active and driven sales professional with a passion for digital and have experience of selling Digital Twin solutions to multiple industries and domains, you could be a great fit for our Senior Commercial Manager role within our Digital Twin team.
This role will focus predominantly on Digital Twin Software Solutions & Consultancy Services, and will play both a key part in delivering a priority strategic company objective and a major role in Haskoning’s Digital Twin growth plans. The role will also interact closely with our Simulation Advisory Group and its solutions commercial team, connecting simulation as a key enabling component of our Digital Twin solutions.
You will be responsible for managing key technology and other Digital Twin partners, where as part of our solutions we routinely incorporate partner & third-party software (such as modelling and Digital Twin platforms).
The role will expose you to the complete breadth of our customers and focus markets, covering maritime, aviation, buildings, heavy industry, food and beverage, manufacturing, supply chain, energy, water, urban development, data centres and more, so an individual that is adaptable to satisfy customer requirements across sectors is essential.
The role requires a significant amount of prospect and customer facing time, including regular domestic (and occasional international) travel to customer sites where appropriate.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Formulate and implement strategic Business Development plans to market Digital Twin Consultancy & Solutions across focus sectors and accounts.
- Establish and nurture high-level internal and external customer relationships, effectively advocating the value proposition of our Digital Twin solutions.
- Proactively generate a robust sales opportunity pipeline from both new and existing leads, leveraging both the broad internal network and direct external opportunities.
- Lead tender teams and manage timely and diligent bid delivery.
- Achieve sales targets for both Digital Twin consultancy & solutions, including Simulation solutions.
- Proposal risk management, and terms, conditions and contract management.
- Collaboration with our marketing team to ensure our Digital Twin offerings are well-positioned, promoted, and adopted, aligning with industry trends and client needs.
- Foster internal connections within Haskoning to educate and uncover collaborative opportunities that enhance the overall value of Haskoning’s propositions to its customers.
- Management of contracts and SLAs with key third-party partners to enable competitive and profitable proposals/bids.
What you bring:
Experience:
- Demonstrable expertise in sales and account growth within Digital Twin, Simulation and related fields, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in relevant sectors.
- Proven ability to devise and implement a successful sales expansion strategy, generating substantial revenue from both new and existing accounts.
- Solid background in the AEC sector, complemented by a robust professional network.
- A track record of success in selling software and/or consulting solutions related to digital transformation to clients in target vertical markets globally.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest trends in Digital Transformation solutions, such as AI, Industry 4.0 and Digital Twin technologies, with experience in marketing Digital Transformation software and/or service solutions.
- Strong technical acumen with the capability to demystify complex technical subjects within a sales context.
- Experience in strategic planning and market analysis within the Digital Twin or related technology sectors.
- Familiarity with Digital Twin and IoT platforms and their integration into Digital Twin solutions.
- Expertise in customer success management, ensuring clients derive maximum value from Digital Twin implementations.
- Familiarity with multiple relevant markets, including manufacturing, maritime, aviation, buildings, heavy industry, food and beverage, supply chain & logistics, energy, water, urban development and data centres is assumed.
- Beneficial experience includes:
- Sales involving Predictive Simulation software, Analytics, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence.
- Background in project management, particularly in leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of digital technologies and methods, such as Digital Twin, AI/ML, advanced data models and analytics, building information management (BIM).
