The Role

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will manage existing contracts, undertake negotiations, pricing activities, and dynamic contractual risk assessments, while supporting tender and organic growth activities to achieve our customer’s mission.

Day-to-day, you’ll:
  • Provide contract management and governance support to business and commercial teams.
  • Undertake negotiations and pricing activities in support of organic or new growth opportunities.
  • Identify and implement pragmatic commercial solutions to achieve a win:win.
  • Support, implement and coordinate the execution of commercial strategies to achieve success.
  • Mentor and guide other commercial staff, sharing best practices and providing advice on commercial scenarios.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, with flexible hybrid working arrangements at Ashton Vale, Bristol, and Stoke Gifford, Bristol, including remote work.

Essential Experience
  • Experience leading contract management activities across all lifecycle phases in matrix organizations.
  • Commercially driven with the ability to identify commercial innovations and maintain good business awareness of customers and competitors.
  • Experience in creating proposals for organic growth or new opportunities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines critical to our customer’s mission.
  • Significant relationship management experience to work at a senior level with customers to identify and implement pragmatic commercial frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or Accountancy (or equivalent), not essential but preferred.
  • Willing to work towards professional qualifications such as MCIPS, IACCM, or PGCCM.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance, starting with BPSS clearance.
