Job summary

You will act as a strategic adviser to senior stakeholders, manage client relationships, monitor project outcomes, and lead process improvements to enhance value across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to actively support internal teams and manage resources on technically complex projects/programmes typically ranging between £10m and £100m+.
• Experience delivering large and complex projects across an entire project life cycle.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in guiding large teams.
• Experience building and utilising client relationships at executive level as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of technical specialists, setting objectives and developing skills to ensure efficient cost and commercial management for projects.
• Manage financial performance of cost and commercial management projects across their life cycle, ensuring costs, schedules and budgets are met.
• Lead and manage the commercial aspects of projects, supporting project teams to deliver within budget and contract specs.
• Monitor and review performance and behaviour of team members, ensuring compliance with policies and codes of conduct.
• Assure contract compliance in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service.
• Analyse and review complex information from diverse sources to improve long-term performance of cost management.
• Drive continuous process improvements and implement new cost/ commercial management systems to enhance delivery.
• Manage business relationships with key customers to identify opportunities and improve satisfaction.
• Act as lead technical expert, providing strategic advice to senior managers on cost and commercial matters.
• Build strong relationships with senior clients to extend the cost management service and create new opportunities.
