Job summary

BYLOR is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join the team delivering the Hinkley Point C project. You will lead commercial performance, governance, risk and opportunity across a complex, highly regulated environment.

Working closely with project leadership, clients and supply chain partners, you will manage NEC contracts, lead change control and provide cost reporting and insights to drive project success. This is a senior role based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.

Qualifications

• Proven senior commercial management experience within a major contractor or complex project environment.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge in subcontract management, change, risk and commercial performance.
• Experience leading and developing Commercial teams and engaging wider project stakeholders.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; RICS desirable.
• Experience in highly regulated environments (nuclear, defence, energy or major infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across Tier 2 and supply chain packages.
• Lead commercial delivery of significant and complex packages with governance and performance.
• Manage NEC forms of contract and contractual compliance.
• Oversee live subcontract packages: procurement, performance, change, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Lead change control, variations, claims and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Provide cost reporting, forecasting and commercial insight to project leadership.
• Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing opportunities.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project and operations teams.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support and develop the wider Commercial team and promote best practice.
