Job summary

BYLOR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Surveyor for the Hinkley Point C project. You will help establish and manage a robust survey control network, ensuring precise measurements across all phases of the civil works.

The role requires leading a new survey team and coordinating with project stakeholders on-site and in offices. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a similar role, proven experience with survey networks and large infrastructure projects, and strong IT and data interpretation

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar senior surveying role.
• Experience establishing survey networks on large projects.
• Specialist engineering surveying skills.
• Experience on large infrastructure projects (civil/nuclear).
• Team management experience.
• Experience with MicroSurvey StarNet or equivalent.
• Proficiency with survey hardware and software.
• Strong numeracy and mathematical calculation ability.
• Ability to interpret data from survey results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Logical and analytical thinking; IT savvy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support survey efforts for the HPC project.
• Implement dimensional control across site and office activities.
• Manage survey team performance and deliverables.
• Ensure quality assurance of survey data and records.
• Supply survey drawings and data to project teams.
• Provide technical support and guidance on surveying methods.
• Collaborate on site and in office as required.
• Utilise Leica and other modern survey equipment and software.
