Job summary

BYLOR Joint Venture is seeking a Section Engineer to lead a section of works at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. You will supervise a team of site engineers, manage installation of reinforced concrete structures, and drive best practices for safety, quality and productivity on a major civil contract.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 3+ years of site experience, and proven capability in temporary works supervision, with a focus on delivering right-first-time outcomes in a complex

Qualifications

• 3+ years of site experience.
• Experience on civil engineering projects / complex projects.
• Experience of reinforced concrete in a direct delivery role.
• Experience of managing people in project environments.
• Value engineering to determine best engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Produce and gain approval on method statements, risk assessments and task sheets for safe systems of work.
• Review tolerances and arrange amendments as required.
• Supervise and train staff for dimensional control and resolve survey issues.
• Maintain a 'right first time' culture across the site.
• Ensure ITP steps are followed and comply with processes.
• Raise and close NCRs promptly to avoid impacting works.
• Implement company and project quality procedures on site.
• Distribute up-to-date construction information to relevant parties.
