Job summary

PSR Solutions in Manchester is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead all commercial activities across multiple drylining and interior fit-out projects in the North West. You will manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors, oversee procurement strategies, and drive project profitability through strong cost control and risk management.

This senior role requires a proven track record with Tier 1 contractors, expertise in JCT/NEC contracts, and the ability to report accurately to senior

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience managing packages valued between 1m and 8m.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop commercial teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial activities across multiple drylining and interior fit-out projects.
• Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
• Oversee procurement strategies, subcontractor management and supply chain engagement.
• Prepare, review and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
• Drive project profitability through effective cost management and risk mitigation.
• Manage valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Provide commercial support to operational teams throughout project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, clients and key stakeholders.
• Produce accurate commercial reporting and forecasts for senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and enhance business performance.
• Ensure commercial processes and procedures are followed across all projects.
