PPM Recruitment is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team for high-quality fit-out projects in Greater Manchester. You will be responsible for commercial management from pre-construction through final account, with project values typically ranging from £500k to £4m+.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or commercial fit-out.
• Experience managing projects from £500k to £4m+.
• Knowledge of subcontract procurement and commercial management.
• Experience with valuations, variations, CVRs, forecasting and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proactive and collaborative approach.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, leisure, hotel, office fit-out or refurbishment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare and review project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
• Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries and negotiate quotations.
• Review subcontractor applications, valuations and payment notices.
• Manage variations, change control and contractual notices.
• Monitor project costs, margins and commercial performance.
• Prepare monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting and cost-to-complete.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to maintain commercial control.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support the pre-construction team with estimating, tenders and pricing when required.
