Job summary

MTRP Ltd, a market-leading building contractor in the North West, is recruiting a Commercial Manager. You will lead a 4–5 person Quantity Surveyor team across 2–4 major projects, liaising with clients from pre-construction through handover to ensure sound commercial performance.

You will ideally come from a Senior QS or Managing QS background seeking a step up, comfortable in a client-facing role, and based in the North West with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading commercial teams on large building projects.
• Strong client-facing and contract management skills.
• Cost planning and reporting experience.
• People management and development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of 4–5 Quantity Surveyors across 2–4 projects.
• Collaborate with clients from preconstruction through to handover.
• Ensure commercial and contractual compliance on designated projects.
• Oversee monthly cost reports and input into early cost planning.
