Job summary
Southern Water is recruiting for a brand-new Commercial Finance Lead in its Developer Services function. You will own the commercial strategy, manage end-to-end financial controls, and lead on contracting arrangements, cost recovery and performance reporting.
You will partner with Contracts Manager and the leadership team to provide senior commercial advice, challenge and assurance across the portfolio, supporting in-year charging and development of future charges.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance cost, risk and customer outcomes.
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management across operational, commercial and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the commercial strategy for Developer Services, ensuring contracting arrangements and financial controls support objectives.
- Lead the commercial management of delivery contracts and end-to-end financial control for the function.
- Provide assurance on financial reporting, forecasts and cost recovery across the portfolio.
- Challenge contractor valuations and manage complex commercial negotiations with financial exposure.
