Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of major earthworks and infrastructure projects across England. You will oversee budgets, contracts, and a senior commercial team from tender to final account.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil engineering, NEC knowledge, and a UK driving licence, with membership or progression towards RICS/CICES. UK-based role with car allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• RICS, CICES or equivalent membership or working towards it.
• 10+ years' civil engineering, infrastructure or earthworks experience.
• Experience leading commercial teams.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team.
• Manage commercial performance of multiple civil projects.
• Produce budgets, cost plans and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee contractual matters and resolve issues.
• Manage subcontract procurement and supply chain.
• Prepare and present CVRs and reports.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Support tender submissions, pricing and risk reviews.
• Work with operations and clients to deliver projects.
• Drive value engineering and continuous improvement.
