Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project in Kent. You will lead the project commercial team, drive cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs, and ensure robust commercial governance throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires extensive NEC experience and a proven track record on large-scale civils or infrastructure schemes, with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities to influence delivery and commercial strategy.

Qualifications

• Significant NEC experience.
• Experience managing commercial teams.
• Strong track record on major infrastructure projects.
• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing change, risk and commercial reporting.
• Strong subcontract procurement and negotiation experience.
• Ability to operate at both project and strategic level.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial team.
• Oversee the commercial performance of the project.
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs.
• Review commercial risks and opportunities.
• Lead subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Manage change, variations and compensation events.
• Ensure effective cost control and commercial governance.
• Support project strategy and delivery from a commercial perspective.
• Manage client and subcontractor relationships.
• Review and challenge commercial performance across the project.
• Mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors.
