Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Construction Manager to lead large-scale commercial projects from inception to completion in Randburg and surrounding Gauteng regions. You will oversee budgets, schedules, site operations, and client relationships to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, 8+ years of progressive experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials and tech.
• Strong contract management, negotiation and financial oversight.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of commercial construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets ensuring cost-effective execution and profitability.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Oversee site operations, ensure safety compliance and quality standards.
• Select, negotiate with and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise between client, design team and construction team.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Maintain all project documentation including permits, reports and change orders.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
