Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major sports infrastructure projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure timelines, quality and safety across all phases.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in large-scale construction, familiarity with MS Project or Primavera, strong stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering complex facilities on time.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• 8+ years in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, preferably sports facilities.
• Experience managing budgets > R100 million and overseeing multiple consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of sports infrastructure projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and financial controls to stay within parameters.
• Create detailed schedules and drive on-time delivery with corrective actions.
• Manage consultants, contractors and suppliers to meet quality and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards and environmental policies.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; report progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clients, government bodies and internal teams; chair meetings.
• Oversee site inspections and quality assurance throughout construction.
