Placements24 is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual aspects of major construction projects based in Randburg, Gauteng. The role requires extensive expertise in contract law, negotiation, risk management and lifecycle oversight across JBCC, NEC and FIDIC frameworks.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in construction contract management, including senior/lead roles.
• Knowledge of JBCC, NEC, FIDIC contracts and their implications.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and subcontracts.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle from prequalification to closeout.
• Oversee existing contracts and ensure compliance with terms and specifications.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Handle disputes, claims, and variations to achieve cost-effective resolutions.
• Liaise with project teams, legal counsel, and external stakeholders on contract matters.
• Ensure contract documentation is accurate, organized, and secure.
• Provide expert contractual advice to senior management and project teams.
• Monitor market trends and legal developments related to contracts.
• Develop and implement best practices for contract management.
