Job summary

NFP (an Aon company) in the UK is recruiting a Senior Claims Handler to manage a caseload of complex commercial insurance claims and act as a technical referral for less experienced handlers. You will advocate for clients with insurers, loss adjusters, and brokers, guiding them through the claims process while mentoring teammates.

You will maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely resolutions, balancing advocacy with technical analysis and collaborating with third parties to achieve

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in commercial insurance claims handling.
• Strong technical knowledge of policy wordings and coverage interpretation.
• Experience working with SME clients across sectors.
• Proven track record of managing complex, high-value, or contentious claims.
• Excellent negotiation and client advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handling complex and technical claims across multiple commercial lines, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Interpreting policy wordings and coverage issues through technical analysis.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients through advocacy, guiding them through the claims process and advocating on their behalf with insurers and loss adjusters.
• Communicating effectively with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties to progress claims with strong collaborator management.
