Job summary

FJN Growth Solutions is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster in the United Kingdom to oversee the settlement of highly complex claims across specified lines of business. You will update claims data, assess liability and coverage, and develop case strategies to drive timely resolutions in line with SLAs.

You will manage high-value cases, negotiate settlements, coordinate with solicitors as needed, and mentor junior claims professionals while keeping client information confidential and maintaining

Qualifications

• Required – GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent, disease claims handling experience. Experience of handling mesothelioma and other high value disease claims.
• Preferred – CII/CILA/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), some mentoring experience

Responsibilities

• Update claims file with accurate data per best practices for complex exposures.
• Determine liability by analysing facts and applicable law.
• Handle high-value, high-complexity claims with minimal guidance.
• Assess coverage and policy verification for claims.
• Develop case strategy and ensure timely resolution within SLAs.
• Escalate issues within authority and referral structures.
• Manage litigation with panel lawyers and budgets where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat customers fairly.
• Mentor junior claims professionals and share technical knowledge.
• Keep up to date with legal, regulatory, and medical developments.
