Job summary

Howden, a global insurance group, is seeking a Claims Executive to join the established Claims team in Manchester. You will manage commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, liaising with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters to deliver timely, robust submissions and favourable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and claims processes.
• Experience in commercial claims within an insurance brokerage environment.
• Proven client relationship management experience is required.
• Knowledge of insurance principles, market practice and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement.
• Act as trusted adviser to clients, guiding them through the claims journey.
• Collaborate with brokers, insurers, loss adjusters and legal reps for resolution.
• Visit clients after significant losses to investigate and gather information.
• Negotiate with insurers to secure best settlements within policy terms.
• Partner with a Claims Handler to deliver seamless service.
