Job summary

Howden Group in Manchester is seeking a Claims Executive to manage commercial insurance claims from notification to settlement, including larger, complex or contentious losses, while acting as a trusted adviser to clients. You will work closely with brokers, insurers, loss adjusters and legal representatives to achieve timely resolutions and build robust submissions.

The role supports hybrid working with two–three days in the office and requires solid claims experience and strong client

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance claims within a brokerage environment.
• Strong client relationship management experience.
• Understanding of insurance principles, market practice and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage complex or contentious claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, including larger, more complex or contentious losses.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process while delivering high-quality service.
• Visit clients following significant losses to investigate circumstances, gather information and help build robust claims submissions.
• Negotiate with insurers to secure the best possible settlement in line with policy coverage.
