Job summary

Delaney & Bourton is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to turn data into commercial decisions. This UK remote, home-based role sits in the central Data and Analytics team and focuses on influencing pricing, marketing and eCommerce strategy.

You will shape business decisions by spotting opportunities, challenging assumptions and translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders across Commercial, Pricing and Sales functions.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on data analytics experience in retail, wholesale, eCommerce or similar commercial environment.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills with experience in BI platforms (Power BI).
• Solid understanding of analytical techniques including trend analysis and forecasting.
• Commercial awareness: effect of pricing, margins, promotions and customer behaviour on performance.
• Examples of analyses led that influenced decisions and delivered value.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Uncover commercial opportunities and lead the analysis to answer key questions.
• Influence commercial strategy with cross-functional collaboration across pricing, marketing and eCommerce.
• Measure campaigns, promotions and pricing changes to isolate incremental growth.
• Analyze customer journeys and segments to identify missed opportunities and improve retention.
• Support design and evaluation of experiments to determine best actions.
• Build straightforward forecasts and commercial models to support investments.
