Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in the UK is seeking a Senior Coating Engineer to lead linepipe and field joint coating activities within the Core Technologies team. You will support tenders, develop specifications, and oversee qualification and testing processes across global projects.

You will work closely with Engineering, Sourcing and Supplier Quality to drive coating excellence, lead audits, and investigate root causes of coating failures, delivering continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Materials Science
• Knowledge of linepipe and field coating processes
• Knowledge of nondestructive and destructive testing
• Qualification of linepipe and field coating procedures
• Oversee mechanical testing
• Prepare documentation (ITPs, procedures and data manuals)
• AMPP / ICorr / BGAS / CSWIP certification

Responsibilities

• Lead coating requirements for linepipe and field joints within Core Tech VSO Support
• Support tenders, documentation and qualification activities
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sourcing and Supplier Quality regionally and globally
• Lead technical audits and ensure coating requirements are understood internally and externally
• Coordinate qualification activities with Sourcing and Supplier Quality
• Lead coating-related failure investigations and root cause analysis
• Drive coating-related continuous improvement projects across the organisation
