Job summary

Crcevans in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced coating technical specialist to manage coating-related scopes across projects, ensuring compliance with client, national and international standards.

You will prepare technical documentation, act as a principal client contact, support PQTs and PPTs, and collaborate with QA/QSE teams to ensure project quality and timely delivery. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Essential education includes AMPP (NACE) Level 2 or ICorr Level 2, plus a science-based qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical Materials) or Polymer Science.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in line pipe and field joint coating.

Responsibilities

• Manage coating-related technical scopes across projects in line with requirements and timelines.
• Prepare technical documentation (ITPs, coating records, reports) ensuring compliance with standards.
• Act as a key technical contact for clients and project teams, providing timely support.
• Attend and support client/vendor meetings, inspections, and technical reviews.
• Provide technical support across all project phases, including PQTs and PPTs, identifying issues and solutions.
• Liaise with PQT QC Supervisor and teams on planning and execution of tests.
• Coordinate with laboratories and clients to ensure timely testing and reporting.
• Work with Engineering, service delivery and QHSE teams to resolve coating issues.
