Job summary

Forward Assist Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Coating Engineer to provide technical and quality support for coatings across projects. You will lead coating-related delivery and ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and internal standards.

The role requires 5–8 years in line pipe and field joint coating, strong communication, and hands-on QA documentation expertise. Ad hoc travel to domestic and international sites may be required.

Qualifications

• AMPP (formerly NACE) Level 2 Certification or ICorr Insulation Inspector Level 2 or equivalent.
• Science-based qualification (A-Level or BTECH or equivalent) standard.
• 5–8 years of experience in line pipe and field joint coating.
• Understanding of ISO standards and testing methods related to Field Joint Coating.
• Experience working within contractor and subcontractor frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage coating-related technical scopes across assigned projects in line with requirements and timelines.
• Prepare technical documentation including Application Procedures, ITPs, Coating Record Sheets and reports.
• Act as a key technical contact for clients and project teams on assigned projects.
• Attend and support client and vendor meetings and inspections, and technical reviews.
• Provide technical support across all project phases, including PQTs and PPTs, and production activities.
• Monitor project execution and support teams when issues arise.
• Coordinate with PQT QC Supervisor, Project Teams and Site Management on PQTs and PPTs.
• Coordinate with laboratories and clients to ensure timely, compliant testing and reporting.
