Job summary

TechnipFMC plc is seeking a Senior Coating Engineer to provide expert knowledge in linepipe and field joint coating, support tenders, and oversee qualification activities. You will collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and supplier quality to drive coating-related excellence across global projects.

The role focuses on R&D, standardisation, and documentation, including leading technical audits and root cause analyses to improve coating processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of linepipe and field coating processes used in pipeline fabrication.
• Experience with non-destructive and destructive testing in pipeline fabrication.
• Qualification of linepipe and field coating procedures.
• Experience in coating-related failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Preparation of documentation (ITPs, Procedures & Data Manual).
• AMPP / ICorr / BGAS / CSWIP Certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all linepipe & field join coating requirements within Core Tech VSO Support, including R&D, standardisation, specification development, tendering, qualification, and project execution.
• Lead coating-related audits and ensure coating requirements are understood internally and externally.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to support qualification activities and process development.
• Drive coating-related improvement projects across the organisation.
