Job summary

Moog UK is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across CNC machining, NPI and process development at our Tewkesbury site. You will drive lean manufacturing, optimise complex aerospace machining and mentor engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Significant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining environment.
• 5 Axis Milling and/or Mill Turn with advanced CNC programming using Siemens NX.
• Experience with DfM, PFMEA, GD&T and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery.
• Create and optimise machining processes for complex aerospace components using Siemens NX and CAD/CAM technologies.
• Provide Design for Manufacture input during product development activities.
• Lead APQP activities such as PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA studies.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve process capability.
• Review engineering drawings and recommend manufacturability improvements.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling, gauging and fixture design.
• Support strategic manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence programmes.
