Job summary

Moog UK is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead machining operations and NPI activities for aerospace components. The role focuses on lean processes, design for manufacture, and process development to deliver high-quality production outcomes.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers and technicians, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Significant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining environment.
• t
• 5 Axis Milling and/or Mill turn experience.
• Advanced CNC programming using Siemens NX.
• Strong knowledge of DfM, PFMEA, GD&T and process optimisation.
• Experience leading NPI programmes from concept through to production.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering colleagues.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives focused on quality, cost and delivery.
• Create and optimise machining processes for complex aerospace components using CAD/CAM tools.
• Provide DfM input during product development.
• Lead APQP activities such as PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA studies.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve process capability.
• Review drawings and recommend manufacturability improvements.
