Job description

We are looking to hire a Senior CNC Machinist to join our machine shop in Methlick, Aberdeenshire.

Key duties

1. Interpret client specifications and enter them onto the CNC machine.
2. Set up the machine and monitor it as it operates to ensure delivery of quality precision-made parts.
3. Optimise the machining processes in terms of consistent quality and productivity.
4. Supervise and coordinate activities in the machine shop.
5. Operate computer-controlled machines to cut, make, and manufacture precision parts.
6. Load and unload material, set up and operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
7. Assist in quality control of parts and stock control.
8. Ensure that operating policies and procedures are adhered to.
9. Perform basic servicing and maintenance of equipment.
10. Maintain general housekeeping.

Experience

1. Previous experience operating CNC machinery.
2. Strong leadership experience in a similar working environment.

Qualifications / Training

1. Recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline preferred.
