Job summary

Our Future Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and build cloud platforms supporting critical health datasets and trusted research environments. The role involves leading platform development, collaborating with engineering and operations, and delivering scalable, secure infrastructure in a hybrid London setting.

You will drive IaC, automation, and production readiness while mentoring teammates and shaping development processes to support fast-paced delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud DevOps/platform engineering at scale.
• Hands-on IaC across Terraform/OpenTofu/Terragrunt/Pulumi with GitOps.
• Strong Python coding and automation skills.
• Experience with unit testing, code reviews and design documentation.
• Experience building data pipelines/ETL workflows.
• Proficient with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud security best practices.
• Experience in an agile environment; regulated domain experience bonus.

Responsibilities

• Help create cloud platforms to support Our Future Health as we scale.
• Define platform requirements with engineering and operations teams.
• Iteratively build the platform from simple to complex.
• Define development processes for a growing team.
• Own solutions from conception to deployment and on-call.
• Integrate and deploy third-party tools as needed.
• Translate hard technical ideas into designs and implementations.
• Apply best practices for availability, scale, and efficiency.
