Job summary

Our Future Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a small team building cloud platforms and systems that underpin vital functions, including participant websites and data processing pipelines. You will work across engineering and operations to define platform requirements and implement scalable, secure systems in a modern cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt or Pulumi.
• Proficient in Python; strong debugging and troubleshooting.
• Experience with production-scale distributed systems and security best practices.
• Agile team experience with code reviews and pairing.

Responsibilities

• Help build cloud platforms to support Our Future Health as we scale.
• Define platform requirements with engineering and operations.
• Iteratively build platform, start simple, increase complexity.
• Help define development processes in a growing team.
• Own solutions from conception to deployment and on-call.
• Integrate and deploy third-party tools.
• Propose innovative designs for distributed systems, scale and security.
• Implement best practices for availability and efficiency.
