Job summary

IBM is seeking a DevOps Platform Engineer in London to design, automate, and support cloud-native, hybrid platforms. You will work across AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Red Hat, using Kubernetes, Docker/CRI-O, and IaC to deliver scalable, secure environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with on-call and incident response in production environments.
• Hands-on automation of security or compliance workflows (policy-as-code, vulnerability remediation).
• Experience bridging traditional infra with cloud-native/container platforms.
• Ability to collaborate across architecture, development, operations, and security.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and run container platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, and CRI-O.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure in multi-cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Red Hat).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native IaC tools.
• Implement HA/DR strategies, load balancing, and hybrid networking solutions.
• Integrate monitoring, SLOs, and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines for resilient delivery.
• Administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters and support migrations onto container platforms.
• Work with architects and developers to improve platform automation, performance, and security.
• Depending on seniority, lead technical decisions, guide DevOps practices, and mentor engineers.
