Job summary

IBM Consulting FutureNow UK is seeking DevOps Engineers to design, build and automate modern cloud delivery platforms across regulated environments. You’ll implement IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, build CI/CD pipelines, containerise with Docker and Kubernetes, and embed DevSecOps practices to secure software delivery while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering role.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps; IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes; cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell; monitoring/observability tooling.
• Security considerations across the SDLC; Git-based collaboration; client-facing engagement.
• Consulting/public sector experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support modern cloud and platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Build, improve and support CI/CD pipelines for secure software delivery.
• Implement containerised solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Embed DevSecOps throughout cloud infrastructure, applications and deployment pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability to improve reliability and performance.
• Automate operational processes and reduce manual effort via scripting and tooling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary delivery teams and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
