Job summary

Sword is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own the operation of public and hybrid cloud services across our managed environments. This hands-on role focuses on service health, resilience and continual improvement, rather than isolated tasks.

You will diagnose issues across cloud, network and identity domains, restore services under pressure and implement preventative measures. You will guide engineering teams, develop automation, apply governance controls and ensure changes are secure

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise IT operations with production public cloud and hybrid cloud services.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service-management qualification.
• Strong knowledge of cloud governance including policy, access control, cost management.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, reliability and security of customer public cloud and hybrid cloud services.
• Operate and maintain services across major public cloud platforms (compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring).
• Support hybrid cloud environments connecting public cloud with on-premises datacenters and private cloud platforms.
• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code for deployment, configuration, validation and remediation.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
