Sword is a leading provider of business technology solutions across energy, public and finance sectors. Sword seeks an experienced Hybrid Cloud Operations Lead to steer Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms within Technical Operations.

You will manage Infrastructure Engineers and Cloud Platform Engineers across Managed and Co-Managed Services, translating standards into actionable delivery and ensuring team readiness.

Qualificações

• Proven experience leading infrastructure, cloud platform or technical operations teams within Managed Services or Co-Managed Services.
• Strong working knowledge of hybrid cloud and virtualisation technologies (VMware/Nutanix).
• Ability to translate technical standards into actionable operational delivery.
• Direct people-management experience including 1:1s, objectives, appraisals and development plans.
• Experience with incident, change, capacity and service-management disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day operation and development of the Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms discipline.
• Create clear ownership, visible priorities and consistent follow-through across multiple customer environments.
• Manage performance through regular 1:1s, objectives and development plans.
• Maintain skills and training matrices; turn gaps into training, mentoring or recruitment actions.
• Coordinate workload, service coverage, priorities and escalation across infrastructure and cloud platform services.
• Ensure patching, maintenance, backup, capacity, lifecycle and vulnerability remediation are owned and progressed.
• Support onboarding and transition of new customers and services into live support.
• Confirm engineers have required knowledge, access, monitoring, runbooks and escalation paths.
• Use service data, incident trends and feedback to identify delivery risks and improvement priorities.
• Work with Principal Engineers, Service Delivery, Architecture, Cyber, Automation, Commercial teams and stakeholders.
