Job summary

Sword is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own operational health and security of public and hybrid cloud services across managed environments. This hands-on role covers cloud platforms, governance, automation, monitoring, backup and recovery, with focus on resilience and continual improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise IT operations or managed services.
• Experience with production public/hybrid cloud environments.
• Relevant cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP) at administrator/engineer level.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, reliability, security and continual improvement of customer public cloud and hybrid cloud services.
• Operate and maintain services across major public cloud platforms, covering compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Support hybrid cloud environments connecting public cloud services with on-premises datacentres, private cloud platforms, edge locations and legacy systems.
• Plan and implement controlled platform changes with security, resilience, interoperability and cost considerations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the engineering team.
