Job summary

Content Guru is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will focus on high-availability infrastructure, automation, and mission-critical services at scale.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Infrastructure/SRE/DevOps, strong scripting (PowerShell, Python), and hands-on Kubernetes; there is 3rd line support and zero-downtime deployment work across development teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or similar roles (or 3+ years plus 2+ years in customer support).
Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms and security principles.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
Continuously improve platform reliability and streamline operational workflows through automation and tooling.
Develop and maintain proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
Provide 3rd line support for complex infrastructure issues, coordinating with 1st/2nd line teams for fast resolutions.
Coordinate seamless, zero-downtime deployments in collaboration with Development teams.
Stay on the cutting edge of infrastructure technologies and participate in R&D and PoC projects.
