Job summary

Content Guru Limited in Bracknell is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our expanding Engineering team. You will own platform reliability, automation, and scalable systems that power mission-critical CX and CCaaS services.

You’ll design and implement IaC, strengthen security and observability, provide 3rd line support, coordinate zero-downtime deployments, and collaborate across disciplines to push forward a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or similar roles (or 3+ years plus 2+ years in customer support).
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities in PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Improve platform reliability and streamline operations through automation and tooling.
• Develop and maintain proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer

We’re looking for a technically skilled and solutions-driven Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our expanding Engineering team in Braacknell, Berkshire. What we are looking for…

We’re seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in platform operations, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering. You’ll play a key role in delivering resilient, scalable, and secure solutions that power services for some of the world’s most vital organisations.

This role is based in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Key responsibilities of the role…

Infrastructure & Automation:

• Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Continuously improve platform reliability and streamline operational workflows through automation and tooling.

Security & Observability:

• Develop and maintain proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Contribute to both offensive and defensive security strategies, including threat simulations and incident playbooks.

Operational Excellence:

• Provide 3rd line support for complex infrastructure issues, working alongside 1st and 2nd line teams to ensure fast and effective resolutions.
• Coordinate seamless, zero-downtime deployments in collaboration with Development teams.

Innovation & Collaboration:

• Stay on the cutting edge of infrastructure technologies and best practices.
• Participate in regular research, proof-of-concept and implementation projects to evolve the platform.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, agility and continuous improvement.

About you…

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or similar roles (or 3+ years plus 2+ years in customer support).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms and security principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable with overnight and weekend work (scheduled rotational basis).
• Experience in ISO-certified environments is a plus.
