Job summary

Thought Machine is building cloud-native core and payments tech to modernize banking. Senior Software Engineers in Infrastructure design and deploy scalable platform tooling, focusing on multi-cloud, observability, and data systems.

You will contribute to a cloud-agnostic core platform, build automation, and integrate with open-source tools, while ensuring high reliability for global clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling infrastructure platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Golang for production-grade tooling.
• Deep understanding of container and orchestration internals (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience extending and integrating open-source infra tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
• Ability to package and scale developer-facing infrastructure utilities for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Scale the Core Platform: evolve and optimize the cloud-agnostic platform infrastructure.
• Simplify Orchestration: build intuitive control planes to reduce cognitive load for engineers and bank SREs.
• Design for Resiliency: architect fault-tolerant systems with DR/BCP.
• Advance Observability: enhance observability suites for clients with deep monitoring insights.
• Optimize Data & Streaming: scale databases and event-streaming platforms for performance and cost.
