Job summary

Model ML is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud systems as we scale. You will drive DevOps, observability, and compliance readiness to ensure audit-ready, highly available infrastructure that supports rapid product growth.

You will build robust CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and data services and own logging, metrics, tracing, and on-call processes while optimizing cloud costs and security posture.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of relevant experience, ideally in startup or high-growth environments.
• Infrastructure ownership end-to-end from architecture to production support.
• Experience implementing reliability, security, and compliance measures ahead of scale or audits.
• Proven record of driving cost efficiency while enabling growth.
• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support rapid product growth.
• Prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits, aligning with customer expectations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and data services to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Drive product-wide systems for logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and on-call processes.
• Monitor and control cloud costs, identifying opportunities for optimization without sacrificing performance.
• Act as the internal advocate for operational excellence.
