Job summary

Singular: Building Brilliant Biotechs is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to own the AWS-based platform supporting scalable genomics data workstreams. You will collaborate with software engineers, bioinformaticians and scientists to ensure reliable platform growth as data volumes increase.

The role spans cloud engineering, platform architecture, DevOps, IaC, observability, cost optimisation and data engineering, with a focus on high-availability infrastructure powering drug discovery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS in production environments.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Strong networking, IAM, and security knowledge.
• Biotechnology, genomics, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
• Scale large genomics and biological data processing workloads.
• Partner with engineering, bioinformatics and discovery teams on platform requirements.
• Identify architectural improvements and implement scalable solutions.
