Singular: Building Brilliant Biotechs is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to own the AWS-based platform supporting scalable genomics data workstreams. You will collaborate with software engineers, bioinformaticians and scientists to ensure reliable platform growth as data volumes increase.

The role spans cloud engineering, platform architecture, DevOps, IaC, observability, cost optimisation and data engineering, with a focus on high-availability infrastructure powering drug discovery.

You are an experienced cloud engineer who loves building scalable infrastructure, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership of platforms that matter.

THE COMPANY

We are working with an innovative biotechnology company combining genomics, computational biology, machine learning, and drug discovery to identify entirely new therapeutic targets hidden within the non-coding genome.

Working at the intersection of biology and technology, their computational platform underpins every stage of scientific decision-making. As their datasets continue to grow and their pipelines become increasingly sophisticated, they are now investing in a senior cloud engineering leader who can take ownership of the infrastructure that powers the business.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Software & Data Engineering, you will become a key technical owner across the companies AWS-based platform.

This is a broad, highly visible role spanning cloud engineering, platform architecture, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, observability, cost optimisation and data engineering.

You'll work closely with software engineers, bioinformaticians and scientists to ensure the platform scales reliably as data volumes and computational complexity continue to grow.
