Job summary

Invesco is seeking a Principal Architect to define and lead cloud architecture across the Digital Platforms portfolio, spanning web, servicing, and internal tools. You will shape architecture, drive secure, scalable solutions, and partner with central Cloud and DevSecOps teams to implement patterns.

You will mentor engineers, translate business roadmaps into technical designs, and ensure adherence to standards while delivering high-impact initiatives aligned to enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline (or equivalent).
• Relevant cloud certifications desirable (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
• Strong experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AWS-based solutions.
• Experience with web platforms and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the cloud architecture strategy for Digital Platforms.
• Lead architecture and delivery of complex AWS-based solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures integrating AEM and CDN platforms.
• Establish and govern cloud standards and reusable patterns.
• Define non-functional requirements including security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Partner with Cloud and DevSecOps teams to align on AWS capabilities and security controls.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide architectural oversight across multiple teams.
• Mentor architects and engineers to raise capabilities.
