Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Client Development Manager to provide exceptional support to our clients and help drive new business growth of the Reach brand in the UK market. This is a newly created role resulting from the growth of Reach business. The Client Development Manager will work closely with clients and prospects to understand their pain points and present effective resourcing solutions, as well as supporting existing consultants to meet their career aspirations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the end-to-end opportunity management process, including:
    • Maintaining direct client contact throughout a consultant placement, including taking briefs, preparing proposals, collating feedback and ongoing placement management.
    • Working with the Reach Talent manager to identify suitable Reach Consultants for new opportunities and managing discussions with talent to test their interest in the role.
    • Overseeing documentation and compliance for new placements and extensions.
    • Maintaining contact with Reach Consultants during placements, including regular check-ins.
    • Liaising with Partners and other client contact points within the firm to provide updates on placements and client activity.
  • Proactive business development activities to help foster new client relationships and increase client placements including outreach to new prospects, securing introductory meetings and building market networks across multiple sectors.
  • Engaging in industry events and opportunities to build the Reach brand in the market.
  • Supporting the delivery of Ashurst Advance strategy, including providing holistic NewLaw solutions to clients.
  • Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Essential Skills and experience:

  • Experience working in legal or professional services environment essential.
  • Experience in the flexible resourcing market would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with a strong track record of delivering successful proactive BD strategies.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude who enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Confident and professional manner, with the ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders at Partner and senior in-house lawyer level.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, working to deadlines.
  • Flexibility, including approach to working hours.
