Job summary

BMC Recruitment Group is seeking a highly experienced ACA or ACCA accountant to join a UK accountancy practice as Senior Client Manager. You will manage your own portfolio of clients, oversee a team of accountants, and act as a main point of contact for clients at senior partner level.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with senior-level accounting experience.
• At least 15 years' experience in a UK-based accountancy practice.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for various business structures (sole traders, partnerships, LLPs).
• Ability to manage client relationships at senior partner level.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Proficient in CCH, Sage, Xero; proficient in MS Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients at senior partner level and build relationships.
• Supervise and support a team of at least four accountants.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients.
• Prepare accounts from incomplete records and computerised records.
• Prepare company and personal tax returns.
• Review the work of other team members.
• Liaise with clients on a wide range of accounting matters.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Carry out client visits where required.
• Ensure accounts and other work are completed accurately and to a high standard.
• Support the wider practice with ad-hoc projects as they arise.
