Job summary

BMC Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Client Manager for a senior-level role in a UK accountancy practice. The successful candidate will manage their own client portfolio, lead a team of accountants and act as a key point of contact for clients at senior partner level.

Ideal candidates will have ACA or ACCA qualification and at least 15 years’ experience in a UK-based practice, with strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent organisational and client-management skills.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 15 years' recent experience within a UK-based qualified accountancy practice – essential.
• Strong knowledge of company and personal taxation.
• Experience reviewing the work of other accountants.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients at senior partner level and building long-term relationships.
• Supervising and supporting a team of at least four accountants.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Preparing accounts from incomplete or computerised records.
• Preparing company and personal tax returns.
• Reviewing the work of other members of the team.
• Liaising with clients on a wide range of accounting matters.
• Preparing management accounts.
• Carrying out client visits where required.
• Ensuring accounts and other work are completed accurately and to a high standard.
• Supporting the wider practice with ad-hoc projects as they arise.
