CDM Recruitment invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civils) to join a leading civil engineering contractor in the North East. You will lead commercial delivery from contract award through final account, oversee valuations, cash flow, and cost reporting.

Applicants should have proven civils experience, NEC knowledge, and strong leadership with excellent stakeholder management. The role offers progression within a reputable contractor and a strong pipeline of projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering/groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of NEC or other contracts.
• Experience managing commercial delivery from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Take commercial responsibility for civils projects from contract award through to final account.
• Manage valuations, applications for payment and cash flow.
• Prepare and manage cost reports and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and variations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Review contracts and manage contractual obligations.
• Manage change, compensation events and variations.
• Support procurement and subcontractor tendering.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers.
• Manage client and subcontractor relationships.
• Prepare and agree final accounts.
• Provide commercial reporting to senior management.
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required.
