Job summary

Cowi is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary projects across the UK, spanning highways, rail, water, energy, and development infrastructure. You will lead design packages and mentor engineers while coordinating across disciplines to deliver integrated, buildable solutions.

Qualifications

• A civil engineering degree (or equivalent) is required.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, or progress toward a professional qualification.
• Strong technical background in highways, drainage, utilities, or development infrastructure.
• Experience using Civil 3D and drainage modelling tools.
• Experience delivering UK infrastructure projects across highways, rail, water, energy, utilities or development infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and manage interfaces.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of infrastructure design packages across highways, rail, drainage, utilities, power distribution and related disciplines.
• Act as technical lead within your discipline, coordinating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients, authorities, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support project managers with programme, resources and commercial objectives.
• Undertake site visits and provide construction-phase support.
• Apply CDM standards and perform design risk assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to improving technical standards and digital delivery.
