Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design across water projects in the UK. You will shape schemes from feasibility to commissioning, ensuring compliance and efficient interfaces with other disciplines.

You will mentor engineers, develop build-ready designs, and support delivery with digital tools and standard solutions. A strong chartered background and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering and CEng or active CEng status.
• Proven track record delivering high quality civil outputs to standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Methodical approach to problem solving and design reviews.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support and ensure compliance with current legislation and standards.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations and construction teams across design to build.
• Manage client relationships with a one-team mindset to meet aims.
• Coordinate interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines.
• Act as technical checker and perform cross-team reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery via standard designs and digital tools.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
