Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in Leeds is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to shape civil design across water and wastewater projects from feasibility to commissioning.

You will mentor engineers, ensure designs meet standards, collaborate with commercial, operations and construction teams, and secure safe, buildable solutions across multiple sites. A Chartered CEng and a driving licence are required, with travel to sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience delivering high quality outputs in design, quality and safety standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
• Water/wastewater experience required

Responsibilities

• Providing design support for schemes and ensuring all designs meet current legislation and standards
• Collaborating with the commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions
• Engaging with the client and managing relationships with a one-team approach
• Managing interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines and producing documentation
• Acting as technical checker and undertaking technical reviews for projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability and integration within existing systems
• Mentoring engineers to develop their skill set and identify resource needs for projects
